Putty cans

Putty cans are regularly used by the damage repair companies. Because of the concave lid of this tin can packaging, a tube of hardener, gloves and a spatula can be put on top of the lid and it can then be closed with a plastic cap. A putty can is completely rimless and the thick pasty product can be easily taken out of the packaging. The measures of capacity start at 320 ml up to 2 litres. There are two types of putty cans: 3-piece tins cans and deep-drawn tins.

3-piece tins

These tins have a wide opening and no edge in the tin, so the filler can be removed easily from the tin with a filling knife. Some 3-piece tins (diameter 99 mm) can be provided with an extra closure by means of a latch ring around the lid. The latch ring can be opened and closed manually. For some diameters lids can be supplied with a compound.

The body of deep-drawn tins are individually deep-drawn from one single strip of tinplate. This is why the body integrates seamlessly with the bottom of the tin. The body itself is also completely seamless. The lid is concave and a plastic cap is available to store hardeners. This packaging is very suitable for thin, aggressive filling goods because of the absence of seams. Because these putty cans are deep-drawn, only a part of the tin can be printed.

Cans for wax are loose lid tin can packaging. The tins can be opened and closed user-friendly. Cans for wax are mostly used for thick pasty filling goods. These tins are used for a variety of filling goods: cosmetics, beeswax, pet food and shoe polish.

To increase the usage, we have a type of packaging in our assortment with an extra ridge on the top of the body that creates extra airtightness. The lid is being ‘screwed’ on the body. We can offer the loose lid tin can packaging in a variety of measures of capacity and in various heights (from very low up to high). There are two types: pressed and welded cans.

The body consists of one part, so there is no seam between the bottom and the body. This technique is reduced to certain measures; mostly smaller measures. Because of the absence of seams, this packaging is ultimately suitable for fluids and more aggressive filling goods.

Welded version

The body is being joined and the bottom is being seamed on the body. Together with the lid, this is a 3-piece tin for wax. Mainly the larger measures of capacity consist of 3 pieces.
