UN approved adhesive lids are lids for cylindrical tin can packaging with TT rim. The cylindrical tin cans are available in an uncoated version or with an inner coating.
The lid has the shape of TT (flat) with on the edges a thin layer of adhesive. This layer is also applied in the TT ring. The adhesive is resistant to almost every chemical filling good. The big advantage is that it is combined with the possibility of re-closing the lid after opening and still maintaining the UN approval. In other words the adhesive power is so strong that it is possible to close, open and reclose very well (withstanding UN approval tests).
UN approval UN Y 1.2 this is for dangerous liquids in packaging group 2. It is also possible to have a plug in the lid, the UN approval remains.
The lids are only available in one diameter:
- Lid diameter: 105 mm
- Tin can capacity: 250 ml, 500 ml, 750 ml, 1 liter, 1,5 liter
- Version: uncoated or coated
- Approval: UN Y 1.2
